I went on a hike with a photography group at the Albion Basin over the weekend. I took about 150 shots and liked three of them. I am terrible at landscape photography, and even after spending three hours surrounded by beautiful scenery, I came home with further proof that, for whatever reason, landscape photography is just not my forte. I can't seem to find my subject and all my pictures look flat and boring. I think my problem may be that I get overwhelmed by how beautiful the scenery is and I try to get it all in one shot.
Anyhow, here are the three I liked:
I think the three you picked are lovely. It's hard to get a good perspective when surrounded by beauty on every side. Ansel Adams spent a lot of time mastering it too. Don't beat yourself up. I really like your use of foreground and distance in that first one along with the scale of the chair lift and the diagonal line it provides. Nice work in my opinion.

I've never been good at landscape photogrpahy, either. But I think all three of these are lovely! I especially like the dramatic shadows in the third one.

Nice job! I especially like the middle picture. I like the DOF of that one.
